ICC WORLD CUP 2019: England beat Bangladesh by 106 runs


In the ICC World Cup-2019, hosts England beat Bangladesh by 106 runs in a match played at the Sofia Gardens in Cardiff on Saturday. England, batting first, put up a mammoth score of 386 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. In reply, the entire Bangladesh team piled up 280 runs in 48.5 overs.  Shakib Al Hasan played a brilliant inning (121) from the Bangladesh side. For England, Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer scalped three wickets each.

When Bangladesh, who beat South Africa in their first match, chased down the target of 387 runs, they needed a good start, which they did not get. Jofra Archer bowled Soumya Sarkar (2) to score a total of 8. Shakib came in third and took over the team and kept the scoreboard on. With the other opener Tamim Iqbal (19), he had given 63 run-shank on the team's scoreboard, but that's where Mark Wood sent Tamim to the pavilion.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who had the best partnership with Shakib against South Africa, kept on the crease and started batting in his own style. He had added 106 runs with Shakib and headed for a half-century. Here's Plunkett, who caught Rahim at the hands of Roy for a total score of 169, reduced Bangladesh's low hopes of victory. Rahim scored 44 runs with the help of two fours off 50 balls.
It could have been a miracle to conquer Bangladesh, but it did not happen. A run later, Adil Rashid dismissed Mohammad Mithun (0) to get the fourth blow to Bangladesh. Shakib then completed his century. Shakib had understood that the team could not get a win. He was somehow trying to play the entire over, but his effort was unsuccessful by Ben Stokes and sent Shakib out on a total score of 219.

Mahmadullah (28) was the victim of wood, Mosaddek Hossain (26) was bowled out by Stokes. Stokes sent Mohammad Saifuddin (5) to the pavilion, Bangladesh's score of 8 wickets at 264. Archer scored the second and fifth ball of the 49 overs to win England by Mehdi Hasan Miraz (12), Mustafizur Rahman (0).

At the same time, England batted first with 386/6 in 50 overs. England's opener Jason Roy played a blistering inning of 153 runs. Apart from them, Butler (64), Bairstow (51), Captain Morgan (35) and Joe Root (21) At the same time, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mehdi Hassan took 2-2 each, while captain Mashrafe Mortaza and Mustafizur Rehman got one success each on behalf of Bangladesh.
